Congratulations, 2023 Scholarship Winners!

Each year, Homebase Credit Union awards scholarships to four graduating seniors within our membership. Qualified students submit applications and are judged anonymously on academic merit, personal achievements, demonstrated leadership experience, extra-curricular involvement and/or work experience. We congratulate each of our 2023 winners on this outstanding achievement.

Kevin Meza, $2,500 Scholarship

A graduate of Appomattox Regional Governor’s School, Mr. Meza plans to attend Richard Bland College of William & Mary for an Associate of Science, and ultimately pursue a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Laniyah Allamby, $1,000 Scholarship

Miss Allamby graduated from Thomas Dale High School. She plans to attend Hampton University and major in Nursing.

Emma Shepperson, $1,000 Scholarship

Miss Shepperson graduated from Thomas Dale High School. She plans to attend Longwood University and major in Theater Education.

Aniya Vincent, $1,000 Scholarship

A graduate of Matoaca High School, Miss Vincent plans to major in Sociology at the University of Virginia and pursue a career in Human Resources.

1) Loan application must be received between 7/1/2023 - 8/31/2023. Subject to credit approval. Not all will qualify. Rate you receive is determined by credit qualifications and loan term. Current Homebase CU loans do not qualify. Depending on vehicle value, terms are available up to 60 months starting at 4.99% APR. Longer terms available at higher starting interest rates. Interest begins to accrue from day of loan funding. Contact a Homebase Credit Union Loan Officer for details. Loan example 1: $25,000 financed for 60 months at 4.99% APR would make monthly payment $474. Example 2: $25,000 financed for 60 months at 5.20% APR would make monthly payment $481. APR = Annual Percentage Rate. Membership eligibility required. New membership requires non-refundable membership fee of $1, plus $25 savings deposit refundable at account closing.

2) Certain restrictions may apply. All approvals subject to underwriting guidelines. Not all applicants will qualify.
